► After reading the passages, review the keywords and make sure to watch the

►This exam requires a 70% score to pass, Once you feel that you have a solid understanding of the key            topics, select your chapter exam and move to the next chapter. On an average it takes new students 3
     attempts before achieving the minimum score. If you do not pass after your 3rd attempt, please go back
     into the chapter study materials and review the information.

► Always take notes. Notes help you to actively engage in the learning process and grasp the key concepts.

► Make sure to review the keywords and watch the chapter review subject matter
    expert videos.

► Make a reference sheet with questions and concepts you did not understand. At the end of your study

To obtain the Series 6 license, candidates must pass the Investment Company/Variable Contracts Products Limited Representative (Series 6) exam. The exam is administered by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) and provides an individual with the qualifications necessary to transact business in mutual funds (closed-end on the initial offering only), variable annuities, variable life insurance, and unit investment trusts (UITs).

The exam assesses the candidate's knowledge on mutual funds, variable annuities, retirement plans, securities and tax regulations, and insurance products. It consists of 100 multiple choice questions and has a time limit of 2 hours and 15 minutes. A score of 70% is required to pass. In order to sit for the exam, candidates must be sponsored by a FINRA member firm or self-regulatory organization (SRO). All procedural and testing information can be found on the FINRA website.
